My Old camera has been broken for a few months now, I was left with my iphone 4S to use as my only camera. When ever I did have a job, I would borrow a camera from my one of my friends. I sold off my D80, Canon Vixia camcorder and a few other valuables I had laying around. I picked up a used D70 and socked the rest of the money away for the D700 replacement. It was a bad decision since the camera broke a few weeks after my purchase. I was able to repair it myself and got it working again, however that only lasted about 2 months.
with the release of the D800 and D4, I decided to get the Nikon D4 over the D800 for it’s low light ability and super fast shooting. I ordered it locally and delivery was expected by end of March. On March 16th, I got the phone call that the camera was in! I was so excited I couldn’t complete my sentence to the sales guy with out stuttering. With a perma-smile on face I picked up my first full frame camera.
Gone is the D70 with its ‘plasticy’ cheap feeling body, poor iso, slow FPS camera. The D4 is a welcome addition to my arsenal.
I wanted to get a picture of a family member to test out the camera. I figured my grandma would be a nice challenge since my Chinese is not strong and would be hard to get a more natural photo since she freezes up every time I try to take a picture.
